Dear Parents and Carers,
As we near the end of our 4th week back in school after the summer holidays, I wanted to write to you all with some updates on school and how your child has settled back into the school routine.
As in all schools, but especially schools like ours; pupils can often find the change to routine incredibly stressful and so coming back in September is often a time of challenge. However, overall, our students have coped incredibly well and have settled back into their learning in a positive manner, something that deserves recognition.
This September, we have welcomed six new students into our school. The new students come from various areas around West Yorkshire and range from Year 6 through to Year 10. All our new students have settled well, made friends and we are thoroughly enjoying them being a part of the Armley Grange School. I am sure that you will all join me in welcoming them and their families as part of our community and will take the opportunity to say hello to them at one of our parent events.
New Parents Coffee Morning
We will be holding a ‘New Parents’ coffee morning on Friday the 17th of October from 10 – 11 am. This will be a chance for our new parents to meet some important staff in school, chat with the senior leadership team and to provide us with some vital feedback on their child’s experiences since starting school. During this time, we will also collect some important parent voice as well as signposting you to some important safeguarding information and support available to parents.
Following on from this, we will be holding a parents Christmas event on our last day of term, Friday the 19th of December.
Updated Information
For any parents/carers who’s personal contact information or address has changed, we would be grateful if you could update our office manager, Jade Palmer on these changes by emailing her at jade.palmer@armleygrangeschool.co.uk
As always, should there be anything that you need to speak to someone at school about, whether that be advice or additional support, please feel free to get in touch and we would be happy to help.
Best regards for a lovey weekend,
James Shutt
