Dear Parents & Carers,
Good morning, I hope this letter finds you all well and that you have all had a good week.
Timings of the school day
Having sent out my proposals for the new timings of the school day in the next academic year, I wanted to thank all parents who took the time to respond to me with their questions and concerns. Your views have enabled me to finalise our plans and validate all the reasons behind this. The new timetable will now have 6 lessons during the school day which will equal the learning time we have now. Our school day from September will commence at the same time of 9am but will have a slightly earlier finish of 3pm instead of 3.15. Please do get in touch should you want to discuss these new timings.
Transition Fortnight
You will have received a letter this week outlining the plans for our transition fortnight. This will allow students time to become familiarised with their new classes as well as allowing us some time to celebrate all of their hard work over the year with a variety of trips and activities, designed to allow our students to spend time with their new teachers and classmates. Should you have any questions about these activities, please email Anna Dunnet our Educational Visits Coordinator at: anna.dunnet@armleygrangeschool.co.uk
Information & Consent Form Updates
We will be sending out new information and consent forms over the next week so that parents can update these records. These are important for us so that we always have all of the correct information available to us. Once received, please ensure these are returned to school at the earliest convenience so we can update all our records on file.
Friday the 25th of July
We are planning to host another parents’ morning on our last day of the year, Friday the 25th of July. This will enable parents to come into school to chat with staff, celebrate their child’s hard work this year as well as having a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Our students will be performing a short play that they have been working on every Wednesday for the past term, led by a local drama group, The Northern Arts Company. The parents will be welcomed into school from 10.30 and as always, we would appreciate confirmation of attendance on this day, which is a 12pm finish for all students. We will have to limit places to 2 per student, and would kindly as that you email Jade Palmer to let her know if you intend to come. jade.palmer@armleygrangeschool.co.uk

James
