Dear Parents & Carers,
Good morning, I hope this letter finds you all well and that you have all had a good week.
As we now are at the end of the third week back after the summer holidays, I wanted to let you all know just how positive school has been since our return to school. Over the past couple of weeks, we have found that our students have settled into a pattern of working that is pleasing to see. Most pleasing for us has been the way our new students have settled and how welcome our older students have made them feel. Our school community is one that we are all very proud of, and although we face challenges, we face them together, making it a more tolerant and respectful place to be.
New drop off and pick up procedure
I appreciate that with the changing of the school fence line, our new drop off and pick up procedure was a bit of a surprise to our parents and transport teams. Unfortunately, this was due to some uncertainty around the groundwork that needed to be done by the fencing company. That said, we feel that the morning and evening transport routines, have certainly improved in terms of speed and efficiency with the senior leadership team at AGS also feeling it is a safer routine for our students.
Should there ever be a need to speak to a member of staff at either drop off or pick up then please do let us know as you enter the school grounds and we will direct you to a parking spot, where you will then be able to talk with whichever member of staff you need to. Whilst we needed a slicker process for everyone involved, we acknowledge that there will be times when a conversation at the start or end of the day is incredibly important to you and us and would not want to diminish the ability to do this for parents.
New Parent Coffee Morning
Our ‘new parent’ coffee morning takes place next Thursday the 24th of September at 10am and forms our first parental meeting under the newly formed connexions meetings that will be spread across the year. Kayden Connor will be leading on these meetings and will coordinate both the focus of each meeting and will confirm dates and times with parents. The only change to these meetings is to the name, and instead of connexions, the meetings will now be referred to as CONNECT.
As always, should you wish to discuss any of the information in this letter, or would like to raise anything then please do not hesitate to get in touch at admin@armleygrangeschool.co.uk
I hope you have a lovely weekend,
Best wishes,
James
