Dear Parents & Carers,
Good morning, I hope this letter finds you all well and that you have all had a good weekend.
Sun Protection
The temperatures this week are looking like they will remain in the 20’s so please can I remind everyone to please ensure their child is sent into school with adequate sun protection and a hat if they are intending on heading out for the walking club.
New School Staff
Over recent weeks, we have welcomed some new staff into the school in various positions and so I wanted to let parents know who they are and what their role is.
Jade Palmer has joined us and will be our new Office Administrator. Ella Wilson has been appointed as a new Teaching Assistant and Nick Davis has also been appointed as an HLTA to help with Outdoor Education and PE.
Finally, I have appointed an Attendance Officer and Family Liaison. Aimee Heaney, who has lots of experience dealing with people in her previous roles will be looking at supporting in improving attendance across the school as well as being a key point of contact for parents and carers.
Aimee will be calling all parents during this week to introduce herself and explain a little about her role.
We wish all our new colleagues much success in their new roles and welcome them to the Armley Grange family.
Free Fun STEM show in Bradford
Coolest projects UK is a free, fun, in-person event to showcase digital technology projects created by young people who live in the United Kingdom. It will be held on 17th May 2025 at LIFE Centre Events, Bradford.
The event celebrates young people up to age 18 and the amazing things they have made with code. Welcoming projects of all kinds, from big to small, beginner to advanced, and works in progress to completed creations, the showcase allows a community of like-minded people to come together and celebrate a shared passion for all things computer science and provides a fun way of encouraging participation in STEM activities.
This free, family-friendly event is open to all visitors, whether experienced with tech or just curious.

2025/26 Term Dates
I will be in a position by the end of this week to update the website with next years term dates. Some parents have asked recently when this will be out, and once I have sent it to all of our Local Authorities I will update the website.
I hope you have a lovely week,
Best wishes,
James
